Why not join us at Oxford University Students' Union

Oxford SU is a campaigning and membership charity, led by and for students. We pride ourselves on ensuring our student members are at the heart of everything that we do. Our core purpose is to foster a positive experience at the University of Oxford, for current and future students. This involves challenging, and working with, both the university and external bodies to ensure our students receive the best possible support throughout their degree and beyond. In line with this ethos, we continue to champion the fight for equality and liberation through our five autonomous liberation campaigns.

Our leadership is elected annually and supported by a team of professional staff. Our work is focused around our three strategic themes of education, wellbeing and community. We hope that, through these, we are able to better represent and empower our student members.

It is an exciting time to join Oxford SU. We have recently appointed a new CEO and are busy finalising our five year strategy, reviewing our services, moving buildings and launching our new brand. At the end of this academic year several of our trustees will be stepping down having served two terms of office and so we are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to help shape the next phase of our development.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for individuals with a number of relevant experiences and skill sets:
•    Prior trusteeship experience, particularly with related charities
•    Managerial experience
•    Working with complex finances and/or legal affairs
•    Experience in supporting the development of strategic direction
•    Working with students, and understanding of the fluidity of the student body
•    Understanding of liberation
•    Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of our organisation
