Come work with us at UCA Students' Union
UCA Students’ Union strives to make student life better for the 6,300 students studying at the University for the Creative Arts, a specialist creative arts university across four campuses throughout Kent and Surrey. Oscar-winning film makers, world-renowned fashion designers, television presenters, celebrity jewellers and Turner Prize nominees are just some of the high-profile graduates from the University for the Creative Arts.
The students’ union now has clear purpose and focus for the future and this new four year strategic plan gives us clear direction to lead us to 2020.
All students are empowered to flourish in their passion and their individuality in becoming the new wave of creatives.
To strengthen the creative community and ensure equality of opportunity by championing students ideas, removing barriers to education and supporting innovative students.
- Diverse and Inclusive
The last two years have seen UCASU undergo a period of significant change, putting in place a new Board, senior team and staffing structure. This approach has already started to bear fruit, with course representative numbers up from 13 to over 300, clubs and society numbers increasing more than tenfold and UCASU winning Best Small and Specialist Union at the 2016 NUS Awards.
Having agreed an ambitious strategy until 2020, we do not intend to stop yet. The team at UCASU are now seeking new external trustees to join the Board and help support further growth, success and ultimately pave the way for the new wave of creatives.
We are looking for people who can demonstrate a passion for our work yet challenge and help us think strategically about our future. We are particularly interested in people who have experience of:
- Financial oversight,
- Identification and management of risk
- Income generation
